In places like Texas, local communities reportedly face overcrowded schools and strained public resources.
The Department of Homeland Security, led by Kristi Noem, had previously ordered the affected individuals to depart by April 24 or face removal. Judge Talwani’s injunction left thousands in limbo, fueling criticism from the right that the left is weaponizing compassion and painting Trump as the antagonist.
The Supreme Court filing not only challenges the parole policy but also seeks to reassert presidential authority over immigration without what Republicans describe as interference from activist judges.
