President Donald Trump on Wednesday ridiculed recent Democratic losses while taking aim at progressive figures he says are steering the party further left.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump sarcastically encouraged Democrats to nominate two of his most vocal critics, Reps. Jasmine Crockett and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, for top leadership roles.
“After years of being left out in the cold, including suffering one of the Greatest Losses in History, the 2024 Presidential Election, the Democrats should nominate Low IQ Candidate, Jasmine Crockett, for President, and AOC+3 should be, respectively, Vice President, and three High Level Members of the Cabinet – Added together with our future Communist Mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani, and our Country is really SCREWED!” he wrote.
Ocasio-Cortez and Crockett have strongly opposed Trump’s policies, especially on immigration and the economy. They also blasted his recent military strikes on Iran, with Ocasio-Cortez calling for his impeachment over not seeking congressional approval for the operation.
In another post, Trump targeted New York State Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, who defeated former Governor Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic mayoral primary.
“It’s finally happened, the Democrats have crossed the line,” Trump wrote. “Zohran Mamdani, a 100% Communist Lunatic, has just won the Dem Primary, and is on his way to becoming Mayor.”
Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist backed by Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders, has pushed for policies such as eliminating bus fares, making City University tuition-free, freezing public housing rents, and offering free childcare for children under five.
Trump continued his attack: “We’ve had Radical Lefties before, but this is getting a little ridiculous. He looks TERRIBLE, his voice is grating, he’s not very smart, he’s got AOC+3, Dummies ALL, backing him, and even our Great Palestinian Senator, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, is groveling over him. Yes, this is a big moment in the History of our Country!”
