Sen. Ted Cruz is raising concerns about three “Iranian spies” who were reportedly operating within the Biden administration, as reported by Fox News.
Cruz alleged that one of the Iran “sympathizers” is consistently accessing classified materials while serving as the chief of staff in the Department of Defense.
“Well, and as you just mentioned with Rob Malley, it remains one of the most significant national security scandals in our nation’s history. Rob Malley was Joe Biden’s chief negotiator for Iran. He is a staunch Iran supporter and an advocate for the controversial Obama-Iran nuclear deal,” Cruz stated.
“But he has also demonstrated remarkably poor judgment. He has been terminated and had his security clearances revoked. This prompts the question of how severe his behavior must be to have his security clearances withdrawn by this ideologically radical White House.”
“We now also know that, among other revelations, three of Rob Malley’s key advisers, part of his inner circle whom he heavily relied on, were Iranian operatives. They were recruited by the Iranian government and acted under the direction of the Iranian foreign minister. They reported directly to the Iranian foreign minister,” Cruz continued.
“We have their emails in which one of them discusses with the foreign minister that his loyalty lies with the government of Iran, and he is there to carry out their directives, including conveying the message from within the federal government that there is no issue with Iran possessing a nuclear stockpile. In essence, there were three Iranian spies occupying senior positions in close proximity to the U.S. government.”
