On Sunday morning around 3:40 a.m., authorities responded to a shooting incident at a residence hall at Oklahoma State University (OSU) in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Several individuals were hospitalized, with at least one confirmed as an OSU student.
“At approximately 3:40 am, the OSU Police Department responded to Carreker East residence hall after victims reported the shooting,” stated a police spokesperson.
“There is no ongoing threat to campus.”

According to OSU Public Safety, preliminary reports suggest a large, private party took place off-campus prior to the shooting. After the event concluded, some attendees returned to Carreker East, where the incident occurred.

Local NBC affiliate KOCO reports that three individuals were hospitalized, including one OSU student. This incident coincides with Oklahoma State’s homecoming week, which has attracted many alumni and family members to Stillwater.
OSU Chief of Police Michael Beckner confirmed that all injured individuals are receiving treatment at hospitals in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. OSU law enforcement is currently on the scene and conducting an investigation, urging non-residents of Carreker East to steer clear of the area.
