Turning Point USA officials reported receiving 18,000 new requests to establish chapters following Erika Kirk’s inaugural speech since her husband Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
On Saturday, Republican Minnesota state Rep. Elliott Engen shared a screenshot of a conversation with a TPUSA leader confirming the influx of chapter requests from colleges and high schools.
Before Erika’s address, TPUSA had 9,000 college chapters and 1,100 high school chapters.
“This is the Turning Point,” the TPUSA leader noted in the exchange.
The surge in chapter requests followed the tragic assassination of Kirk on Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University.
The alleged assailant, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson from Utah, was turned in by his father and is now facing aggravated murder charges.
In a poignant live stream from her office on Friday, Erika declared that her husband’s legacy—focused on faith, patriotism, and moral conviction—will endure. She emphasized that his mission will become “stronger, bolder, louder, and greater than ever,” urging young people to start or join Turning Point USA chapters in their communities.
“He wants you to make a difference, and you can,” Erika stated. “The movement is not going anywhere, and it will only grow stronger when you join it.”
In an Instagram post featuring photos of her husband in his casket, she expressed, “They have no idea what they just ignited within this wife.”
“If they thought my husband’s mission was big now… you have no idea,” she added. “You. All of you. Will never. Ever. Forget my husband @charliekirk1776 I’ll make sure of it.”
Turning Point USA and Turning Point Action did not respond immediately to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.
