The left often claims the “MAGA” movement is driven by misogyny, racism, and bigotry, but the reality is almost the complete opposite. At its heart, the MAGA movement is about love—love for former President Donald Trump, what he stands for, and America.
This sentiment was on full display at Trump’s rally on Oct. 13 in Prescott Valley, Arizona, as reported by the New York Post. While Trump was discussing the large crowds at his events and saying, “There’s a reason these crowds are coming,” a supporter shouted, “Because we love you!”
Trump stopped mid-speech to acknowledge the supporter, who he noted was a “beautiful” woman. “She said, ‘Because we love you,’ and I love you, too. That’s why I come,” Trump responded.
He then asked the woman to stand, humorously adding, “You know what? I would say she’s a beautiful woman, but if I did say that, my political career—you’re not allowed to say that. So I’m not allowed to call you a beautiful woman, but she is.”
This playful exchange is part of why Trump’s supporters are so devoted to him. These kinds of interactions used to be more common before the feminist left reshaped male-female dynamics. Complimenting someone respectfully, regardless of gender, can be charming, and Trump taps into that pre-political correctness era that many long for.
Moments like these are common at Trump’s rallies and contribute to his enduring popularity. Given that, it’s no surprise that people love him so much.
