President-elect Donald Trump stated on Sunday that his second administration would be “fully operational” within two hours of his inauguration. Speaking at Turning Point USA’s America Fest in Phoenix, Arizona, Trump made the prediction while discussing plans for border security.
“We are going to be fully operational, I would say, by about two o’clock on the 20th,” Trump told the audience.

Trump is set to take the oath of office during the inauguration ceremony at the U.S. Capitol at noon ET on January 20, 2025.
“For those of us standing before you today, I can proudly proclaim that the golden age of America is upon us,” Trump declared, prompting cheers from the audience.

In his speech, Trump touched on plans for sweeping reforms. His pick for border czar, Tom Homan, recently stated on CNN that Trump’s deportation plans will begin immediately.
“Right out of the gate, the president has made it clear, and I’ve made it clear, the priority right out of the gate is public safety threats and national security threats,” Homan said.
Trump also reflected on his campaign, emphasizing his commitment to delivering profound change. He celebrated the incoming GOP Senate majority, which is working to confirm nominees for what he described as his “dream team Cabinet.”

Trump promised his administration would “embark on the most exciting and successful period of reform and renewal in all of American history.”
The America Fest event featured numerous speakers over several days. Among them was Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro, who called Trump “a historic force” propelling the country into a “golden age.”
“This is all happening because President Trump is a force, is a historic force, is the historic force of our age,” Shapiro said.
