Democratic nominee Kamala Harris has lifted a campaign promise directly from 45th President Donald J. Trump.
On Saturday in Nevada, Harris told the crowd she would eliminate taxes on tips.
Trump originally introduced this idea at his own campaign rally in early June. Following Harris’s remarks, he took to Truth Social to respond.
Here’s what Harris said: “It is my promise to everyone here. When I am president, we will continue our fight for working families of Americans, including to raise the minimum wage and eliminate taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers.”
Trump commented that as Harris’s honeymoon period with voters is coming to an end, she’s resorting to stealing his ideas because she lacks her own.
Trump remarked that Harris is now looking desperate, adding that everyone is eager to see which of his ideas or policies she’ll copy next.
