According to Newsweek, those in the photo are relatives of Walz “through his grandfather’s brother,” and the image was shared by a family friend and later published online by former Nebraska gubernatorial candidate Charles W. Herbster, with the family’s permission.

Kirk even mentioned that the photo “appears to be verified as legit.” Though some might initially question its authenticity, the Trump campaign couldn’t have staged a better scenario.
