Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are in a statistical tie with less than two weeks before the election, according to a final national poll from Siena College.
The Siena/New York Times survey, released Friday, shows the presidential candidates even at 48% each in the popular vote. This follows an early October poll by the same outlet, which had Harris slightly ahead with 49% compared to Trump’s 46%.
In the new poll, 52% of respondents said they trust Trump more than Harris to handle the economy, while 45% favored Harris. On immigration, 54% of voters trusted Trump over Harris, who had 43% support on this issue.
The poll was conducted nationwide from Oct. 20 to 23, surveying 2,516 registered voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.2 percentage points.
