A viral video surfaced on Tuesday featuring a Texas State University student, who is seen mocking Charlie Kirk’s assassination at a memorial event organized by the local Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter.
In the video, the individual imitates a shooting by tapping his neck and writhing, while friends film the scene. He shouts, “Charlie Kirk got hit in the neck, b**ch! Look, I’m Charlie Kirk!” He then approaches a statue, continues to mimic Kirk’s assassination, and collapses on the ground as his friends laugh.
As he leaves, he turns to the camera and exclaims, “f**k that n****!” A bystander warns him, “You’re getting expelled, dude.”
The incident took place during a memorial event for Charlie Kirk at Texas State University, as captured in the video shared on social media.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott condemned the student’s behavior, stating that such actions are unacceptable and calling for expulsion. He tweeted, “Mocking assassination must have consequences. This conduct is not accepted at our schools. Expel this student immediately.”
Texas State University President Kelly Damphousse described the video as “disturbing” and stated that he has instructed university officials to quickly identify the individual. He emphasized that appropriate measures would be taken if the student is found to be affiliated with the university, though he did not specify whether this would include expulsion.
Damphousse’s statement has been shared widely, as the university community awaits further action regarding the incident.
