The truth about President Biden’s mental decline continues to surface. For years, the media insisted he was fine. Figures like Vice President Kamala Harris and Senator Chuck Schumer perpetuated the narrative that Biden was “sharp as a tack,” despite knowing otherwise. Even First Lady Jill Biden tried to convince the public everything was fine, likened by critics to watching the Titanic sink while declaring the ship unsinkable.
Now that Biden is leaving office, his staff and allies are beginning to admit what many suspected. Reports reveal efforts to shield his condition, as noted by RedState’s Bonchie. Ward Clark highlighted Biden’s attempts to appear vigorous during his term—an effort many viewed as a failure.
One significant revelation comes from The New York Times, which reported that Biden relied on a teleprompter even at small, private fundraisers. According to four Times reporters, Biden’s team “had Mr. Biden use a teleprompter for even small fund-raisers in private homes, alarming donors, who were asked to provide questions beforehand.” This approach raised concerns among donors, although most refrained from publicly addressing it.
Biden’s struggles with teleprompters are well-documented. In April 2024, during a speech, he accidentally read stage instructions aloud:
“I see an America where we defend democracy, not diminish it. I see an America where we protect freedoms, not take them away. I see an economy that grows a lot in the bottom up where the wealthy pay their fair share, so we can have child care, paid leave, and so much more, and still reduce the federal deficit and increase economic growth. Folks, imagine what we could do next. Four more years—pause,” Biden said, before laughing awkwardly.
This wasn’t an isolated incident. Even during his farewell address, Biden made errors that drew criticism.
While it is deeply unfortunate to see someone grapple with age-related decline, the issue is more significant because of the position he holds. Over the past four years, critics argue Biden’s policies have taken the country down a troubling path, with many fearing what four additional years might have brought.
RedState and its contributors have long reported on these concerns, describing what they call the “Great American Lie” regarding Biden’s capabilities. With this new wave of admissions from Biden’s inner circle, including Schumer, critics are calling for accountability, insisting that such deception must never happen again.
“For all these people suddenly growing a conscience and coming clean, I harbor you no sympathy,” Hoge writes. “You lied to America, you lied to the world, and you put the country in great danger. Shame on you.”
