President Biden’s 81st birthday has sparked increased discussions about his age and declining cognitive abilities, concerns echoed by Texas Republican Rep. Ronny Jackson, a former White House physician.
“The decline is happening quickly,” Jackson expressed on “Sunday Morning Futures” with guest anchor Sean Duffy.
Drawing on his experience caring for three presidents, Jackson highlighted the demanding nature of the role and emphasized Biden’s inability to perform adequately. Jackson, who served as a physician under the Bush, Obama, and Trump administrations, has previously called for Biden to undergo a cognitive test or withdraw from the 2024 race.
Observing the decline over time, particularly during Biden’s candidacy against Donald Trump in 2020, Jackson endorsed Trump for the 2024 rematch and emphasized the urgent need for Biden to step down.
“It’s just unbelievable how much he’s degenerated just during his time in office. We cannot afford to have this man in office for the remainder of this term and then another four years after that. He’s already putting us at great risk right now,” Jackson asserted.
Amid concerns about Biden’s disconnect with younger voters, reflected in eroding support among Gen Z voters, Jackson emphasized the need for a replacement. Noting the crisis at the southern border, international tensions, and economic challenges, Jackson underscored the perceived lack of leadership in the White House and the resulting consequences.
“The wars that we’re getting drawn into… things that wouldn’t happen if Donald Trump were there because our enemies don’t fear us anymore. They have no respect for us anymore, and our adversaries don’t trust us anymore, and it’s because we don’t have the leadership in the White House that we need,” he stated.
Jackson called for someone in Biden’s inner circle to address the issue and urged Biden to step down for the safety and security of the country.
