President Trump on Sunday shared a series of statements on Truth Social about ongoing negotiations in the Russia-Ukraine war, signaling “big progress” in his efforts to bring the conflict to an end.
This follows Trump’s Friday meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, where they reportedly reached an understanding to pursue peace, contingent on cooperation from Ukraine and NATO. On Saturday, Trump announced that he had spoken with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, European leaders, and the NATO Secretary General. He also confirmed that Zelensky will visit the White House on Monday.

At around 9 am ET, Trump criticized what he called biased media coverage of his talks with Russia after his “great meeting” with Putin. “I had a great meeting in Alaska on Biden’s stupid War, a war that should have never happened!!!” he wrote.
“It’s incredible how the Fake News violently distorts the TRUTH when it comes to me. There is NOTHING I can say or do that would lead them to write or report honestly about me. I had a great meeting in Alaska on Biden’s stupid War, a war that should have never happened!!!”
He went on to argue that the media would twist the story regardless of the outcome, even if he “got Russia to give up Moscow as part of the Deal.”
“If I got Russia to give up Moscow as part of the Deal, the Fake News, and their PARTNER, the Radical Left Democrats, would say I made a terrible mistake and a very bad deal. That’s why they are the FAKE NEWS! Also, they should talk about the 6 WARS, etc., I JUST STOPPED!!! MAGA”
Finally, Trump declared, “BIG PROGRESS ON RUSSIA,” urging people to “STAY TUNED.”

Reports indicate Trump is also pushing for a trilateral summit with Zelensky and Putin on Friday.
This is a developing story.
