Sunday night was a miserable experience for Kansas City Chiefs fans as they watched their team lose to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX with a final score of 40-22, ending the Chiefs’ quest for a historic three-peat. However, the person who may have had the worst night was singer Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
President Trump took notice of the events and responded with a pair of scathing posts on Truth Social. As reported by TGP’s Jordan Conradson, Swift was booed by football fans when her face appeared on the Caesars Superdome Jumbotron. She appeared confused and gave the crowd an annoyed look before trying to laugh off the jeers.
Adding to Swift’s discomfort, Kelce had recently expressed support for the President’s attendance at the game. She also had to witness Trump receive an overwhelming ovation from the crowd.

Following the game, Trump shared his thoughts on Truth Social, with Swift being a central focus. In one post, he compared the crowd’s enthusiastic cheers for him to the hostile reaction Swift received. In another post, he criticized her for her past criticism of him and her endorsement of Kamala Harris.
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift,” Trump wrote. “She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”
The contrasting reactions to Trump and Swift at the Super Bowl may serve as a cultural indicator of the current political climate. As one observer noted, politics is often downstream from culture.
