In a striking black-and-white video posted to her X account, Melania Trump declared that she had been subjected to years of “misrepresentation” since her husband’s presidential campaign and that now is the time to reveal the “truth” about her life, experiences, and their relationship.
“Writing this memoir has been a deeply personal and reflective journey for me. As a private person who has often been the subject of public scrutiny and misrepresentation, I feel a responsibility to clarify the facts. I believe it is important to share my perspective, the truth,” Trump said in the dramatic clip.
Skyhorse Publishing is set to release the 256-page memoir, Melania, on October 8, with preorder prices starting at $40 and going up to $150 for a signed copy.
The publisher teased that the book would cover her childhood in Slovenia, her rise to prominence in European and New York high fashion, and the fateful meeting with Donald Trump that “forever changed the course of her life.” According to Skyhorse, Melania Trump will also open up about their courtship, life in the public eye, her time as First Lady, and the causes she championed during her time in the White House.
“Melania offers an unprecedented look into her time as a first lady who was born outside the United States — a role she embraced with honor and dedication. It brings readers into her world and presents an in-depth account of a woman who has led a remarkable life on her own terms. Melania Trump’s story is one of resilience and independence, showcasing her strength and unwavering commitment to her true self,” reads the publisher’s statement.
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump has also been busy with publishing, recently releasing his third book since leaving office. Save America, from Winning Team Publishing, co-founded by Donald Trump Jr. and Trump ally Sergio Gor, has already become an Amazon bestseller.
