Incoming First Lady Melania Trump has announced that her longtime aide, Hayley Harrison, will serve as her chief of staff.
On Friday, Melania shared the news in a post on X, highlighting Harrison’s qualifications and experience. “Mrs. Harrison has maintained an integral role and exceptional leadership on the First Lady’s team over the past seven years,” her office stated. “She has a strong understanding of White House operations, and as Chief of Staff, Mrs. Harrison will oversee and manage the East Wing’s team while strategically liaising with other parts of government.”
In her new role, Harrison is expected to play a pivotal part in managing the East Wing and coordinating with other government branches, according to Melania’s office.
During an October 29th appearance on Fox & Friends, just a week before the election, Melania reflected on her readiness to return to the White House, saying she was not “anxious” due to her prior experience as First Lady. “So when you go in, you know exactly what to expect,” she explained. “You know what kind of people you need to get.”
