Former First Lady Melania Trump defended her nude modeling work in a recent promotion for her upcoming memoir. The 54-year-old former model shared her thoughts on Instagram, reflecting on her past career.
“Why do I stand proudly behind my nude modeling work?” she asked in a voice-over.
“The real question is, why has the media chosen to scrutinize my celebration of the human form in a fashion photo shoot?” she continued.
“Can we no longer appreciate the beauty of the human body?”
The voiceover played alongside images of iconic art pieces, such as Michelangelo’s “David” statue.
“Throughout history, master artists have revered the human form, inspiring deep emotions and admiration. We should honor our bodies and embrace the enduring tradition of using art as a powerful form of self-expression,” she added.
