Amazon Prime has secured exclusive rights to a documentary film that promises to offer an “unprecedented behind-the-scenes look” at First Lady Melania Trump’s life. Fox News Digital reports that the project is slated for global theatrical and streaming release in the second half of 2025, with filming having commenced in December 2024.
The documentary is being executive produced by First Lady Melania Trump and Fernando Sulichin of New Element Media, with Brett Ratner of RatPac Entertainment as the director. “We are excited to share this truly unique story with our millions of customers around the world,” an Amazon spokesperson stated.
The announcement comes just weeks before Mrs. Trump resumes her role as First Lady on January 20, 2025. It follows the recent publication of her memoir, Melania, which has topped the New York Times best-seller list since its release.
Melania offers an intimate glimpse into the First Lady’s life through personal stories and previously unseen family photographs. In November 2024, Mrs. Trump also introduced a digital photography series showcasing her experiences on the campaign trail and at home.
Last year, Mrs. Trump reflected on her role as First Lady and her focus on supporting children:
“My focus would continue to be creating a safe and nurturing space for children to learn, grow, and thrive,” she said in an interview.
During her first tenure, Mrs. Trump spearheaded the “Be Best” initiative, which highlighted issues such as children’s well-being and online safety. Her efforts included virtual roundtables on foster care and collaborating with Congress on legislation to support youth in foster care. This work helped secure educational funding for young adults pursuing college or vocational training, with then-President Donald Trump signing the bill into law in December 2020.
Since leaving the White House, Mrs. Trump has continued her advocacy through initiatives such as “Fostering the Future,” which offers scholarships to children in the foster care community. According to the First Lady, students supported by this program are currently enrolled in colleges and universities across the country, focusing primarily on technology and computer science.
“Writing my memoir has been an amazing journey filled with emotional highs and lows,” she shared with Fox News Digital last year. “Each story shaped me into who I am today. Although daunting at times, the process has been incredibly rewarding, reminding me of my strength and the beauty of sharing my truth.”
Further details about the documentary will be revealed as filming progresses.
