Tailgating at college football games is a time-honored tradition, especially in the South. On Saturday, as the University of Georgia Bulldogs faced off against the Auburn Tigers, the tailgate scene in Athens was lively—except for one held by a pro-Harris-Walz group.
A video showing the sparse attendance was shared on social media, where the narrator exclaimed, “There’s nobody here… there’s nobody here! Nobody. Nobody!”

In contrast, when a President Trump tour bus arrived on campus, the difference was clear. A large crowd gathered to greet the bus with a traditional UGA chant. (If you’ve ever been to a wedding with a UGA bride or groom, you know the drill!)

While Democrats are eager to position Georgia as a swing state, President Trump has created a notable enthusiasm gap compared to Harris. Massive crowds welcomed Trump when he visited the state to assist with relief efforts and bring supplies after the devastation from Hurricane Helene.
According to Newsweek, a recent poll from Quinnipiac University surveyed 942 likely voters in Georgia and 953 in North Carolina between September 25-29, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.2 points. In Georgia, the poll showed Trump leading by 6 points, with 50 percent of the vote compared to 44 percent for Harris and 3 percent for other candidates.
