Kevin O’Leary, a prominent investor, recently shared his insights into effective strategies for GOP candidates in the 2024 presidential primary.
During an interview on “Fox & Friends,” he stressed the importance of focusing on middle and rural America as well as addressing economic issues.
O’Leary believes that the economy is a critical concern for Main Street America, particularly with record-high rate hikes.
He commended Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for unveiling his new economic policy, named the “Declaration of Economic Independence,” during his campaign in New Hampshire.
This move is seen by many as a way to invigorate his campaign, as reported by the Daily Caller.

“You can’t go wrong with the economy, there’s no question about it, because while we’re seeing the stock market rise rapidly to new highs, 60 percent of the economy is basically Main Street America where they’re having the highest rate hikes in history in terms of the speed in which they rose,” O’Leary told “Fox & Friends.”
According to O’Leary, the election’s outcome will ultimately be determined by rural regions of the U.S. and independent voters.
“People want to know who’s ever leading this have a plan to win a general election, and that means independent voters. You’re thinking strategically as a Republican, ‘Who can get me the independents that actually decide the presidency?’ And that’s Main Street America …You’ve got to have a plan for mister and missus at the kitchen table because they’re the ones that’s gonna decide whether you’re president or not,” O’Leary said.
Observing the economic burdens confronting many Americans, O’Leary further remarked:
“And I see a lot of issues with high interest rates that are gonna be right at the center of this discussion and that is where rural America is and that’s where 60 percent of jobs are created and nobody cares about them yet, but they will.”
O’Leary strongly criticized President Biden’s economic policies, particularly his student loan forgiveness plan. He advised GOP rivals to capitalize on this weakness, referring to it as “Bidenomics,” which they should exploit during the campaign.

O’Leary’s endorsement of DeSantis’ economic plan indicates that a robust economic vision could play a crucial role in the upcoming 2024 GOP presidential primary.
As per Yahoo News, DeSantis is proposing various measures, such as ending China’s preferred trade status and potentially replacing Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell. He aims to foster economic growth, support domestic energy production, and enhance banking disclosures.
O’Leary’s advice may steer the primary race towards economic issues that deeply affect America’s core and shift away from prominent Democrat talking points like Green Energy, gender transition care, abortion, and “institutionalized racism.”
The first GOP Primary debate is scheduled for August 23.
