Has the secret of Kamala Harris’ vice presidential pick been accidentally revealed?
A video posted on Friday on Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker’s social media account appears to show that Harris has selected Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro as her running mate.
This information is surfacing before any official announcement from Harris. The video was later reposted by Philadelphia journalist Ernest Owens, a political writer for Philadelphia Magazine.
Like I said, warm up to the strongest possible reality that we'll be seeing Harris-Shapiro next week and the weeks to come!

In a follow-up post, Owens wrote that “Philly political sources have told me that a staffer connected with Mayor Cherelle Parker’s team accidentally posted the video today.”
Owens explained that the video was originally scheduled for release on Monday, after Harris was expected to make her announcement public. “It’s Josh Shapiro, y’all,” he concluded. The report quickly gained attention on social media, with conservative commentators Colin Rugg and Ian Miles Cheong highlighting it.
By late Friday afternoon, the two accounts had garnered over 800,000 views of the video. Shapiro has been considered a top contender for Harris’ vice presidential pick since President Joe Biden announced on July 21 that he would not be running for re-election. Various indicators have suggested Shapiro as the choice. Traditionally, he could be a strong running mate for Harris against former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance.
Do you think Josh Shapiro will be Kamala Harris’ VP? Pennsylvania is a crucial swing state, and if Shapiro can secure it for the Democrats, he would be a valuable asset for the party. Additionally, Shapiro’s Jewish background could help counter the perception that the Democratic party is more sympathetic to Islamist terrorists than to Israel.
Harris is scheduled to make her first public appearance with her running mate in Philadelphia on Tuesday, according to Fox News. The major question is whether the city’s mayor has already spoiled the surprise.
