Progressive journalists and politicians have spent years accusing Donald Trump of colluding with Russia to influence U.S. elections. However, a new report reveals that Kamala Harris’s campaign is working closely with the British Labour Party to censor social media and news outlets in the United States in an effort to sway the 2024 presidential election.
Concerns among Republicans grew earlier this month when it was reported that over 100 Labour Party staffers had traveled to the U.S. to campaign for Harris in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Investigative journalists Paul Thacker and Matt Taibbi have since revealed an even deeper relationship between Harris’s campaign and foreign political operatives, with an agenda that includes targeting Elon Musk’s platform, X (formerly Twitter).
Thacker and Taibbi’s report shows that foreign political agents are not just advising the Harris campaign but actively directing key aspects of it. The nonprofit Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), linked to the British think tank Labour Together, has played a central role in this operation. CCDH, led by progressive strategist Morgan McSweeney — who also advises Harris — has been instrumental in organizing advertiser boycotts against right-leaning news outlets like The Federalist and Zero Hedge.
McSweeney, credited with helping Labour leader Keir Starmer rise to power, has advocated extreme measures to limit free speech in the U.K. Starmer’s government has cracked down on social media dissent and arrested individuals for sharing content critical of immigration policies. Additionally, peaceful protesters, including Christians praying silently in public, have been detained. This same level of censorship, say critics, is now being imported to the U.S. with the Democrats eager to bypass First Amendment protections.
The shared agenda between the U.S. and U.K. political elites, both Labour and Democratic, is to suppress populist movements and secure political power. Both parties see themselves as part of a global order aiming to establish a unified political consensus. Harris’s campaign’s collaboration with foreign operatives is just the latest example of this transnational agenda to manipulate U.S. politics.
An internal CCDH document disclosed by Thacker and Taibbi outlined goals for regulatory action across the EU, U.K., and U.S., with the priority to “destroy Twitter.” The use of the phrase “kill Musk’s Twitter” in official documentation illustrates the severity of this attack on free speech. Foreign agents are now aiding Harris’s campaign in undermining Americans’ rights, employing the same repressive tactics they’ve used in their own countries.
Moreover, documents suggest coordination between the CCDH and U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN). A conference organized by CCDH was attended by White House advisers, Democratic Party officials, and members of influential progressive groups, further exposing the deep connections between the Labour Party and U.S. political actors.
The Labour Party’s influence extends beyond Harris’s campaign, permeating broader progressive circles. If similar foreign interference came from Russia or China, it would be labeled a grave threat to U.S. sovereignty. Yet, Democrats have openly facilitated this interference, aligning with foreign political operatives.
Just weeks ago, former climate envoy John Kerry lamented at the World Economic Forum that the First Amendment prevents the U.S. from adopting the censorship regimes used by other Western nations. It is evident that global elites are working to consolidate control over speech in the West, with Starmer, McSweeney, and the British Labour Party serving as a model for Democratic efforts.
As Elon Musk’s X declares itself a bastion of free speech, it now faces a coordinated attack by the same foreign and domestic forces intent on controlling the flow of information. Musk has vowed to fight back against the CCDH and its backers, recognizing the seriousness of the threat.
Kamala Harris and her foreign collaborators are engaging in activities that pose a direct threat to U.S. national security. It is critical that those responsible be held accountable, and that American free-speech rights be protected from foreign and domestic enemies alike.
