Kamala Harris Gets Cold Response from Audience on Story About Her Mother

Vice President Kamala Harris is placing a spotlight on abortion rights as a pivotal issue leading up to the 2024 election, launching the Fight for Our Reproductive Freedoms Tour.

Aligned with President Biden’s pro-choice stance, Harris aims to galvanize support through rallies across the nation, asserting, “I will continue to champion fundamental freedoms, uniting those who believe in a woman’s right to make decisions about her body.”

This week, Harris shared her commitment on social media, accompanied by a video message, addressing what she perceives as a nationwide assault on women’s autonomy over their bodies.

She declared her intention to travel the country, organize communities, and resist the challenges to reproductive freedom in the coming year, with the tour commencing in Wisconsin on January 22, marking the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

Across our nation, there is a full-on attack on a woman's fundamental freedom to make decisions about her own body.

In the new year, I will be traveling the country to organize, build community, and fight back.

This initiative follows Harris’s previous Fight for Our Freedoms College Tour, which focused on mobilizing young people for various causes, including reproductive freedom, gun safety, climate action, voting rights, LGBTQ+ equality, and a comprehensive understanding of America’s history.

Addressing recent polls indicating potential challenges for the Biden administration in the next election, Harris emphasized the necessity to earn re-election through effective communication about their accomplishments and values in a democracy with free and fair elections.
