Kamala Harris visited Raleigh, North Carolina, on Friday to propose a plan that critics are likening to “Communist-style” price controls as a means to tackle the inflation crisis she has been accused of exacerbating. As Vice President, Harris cast the deciding vote in the so-called ‘Inflation Reduction Act.’ Opponents argue that the IRA has significantly worsened the inflation problem for Americans, contributing to skyrocketing food prices under the leadership of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Harris acknowledged the severity of the inflation crisis, calling it the worst in a century. “A loaf of bread costs 50% more today than before the pandemic. Ground beef is up almost 50%,” Harris stated. Additionally, she conceded that the American dream is now “out of reach” due to what some characterize as her failed, far-left policies.

After acknowledging the worst inflation crisis in 100 years, Harris proposed the implementation of what some are calling “Communist-style” price controls. Critics argue that such price controls could lead to shortages, the emergence of black markets, and even famine. During her speech, Harris also stumbled over the phrase ‘price gouging,’ mistakenly pronouncing it as ‘price gauging.’

In response, President Trump took to Truth Social to criticize Harris’s latest proposal.
“If you think things are expensive now, they will get 100 times WORSE if Kamala gets four years as President. Under her plan, Kamala will implement SOVIET Style Price Controls. She will abolish private health care, and make California’s ridiculous tax policies the law of the land, meaning EVERY American will be taxed up to 80% of their income! If you want more CASH and less TAX, VOTE TRUMP!!!” Trump posted on Truth Social on Friday.
In a subsequent post, Trump added, “Kamala Harris is allowing Venezuela’s dangerous criminals to freely enter our country through her WIDE OPEN Southern Border, and now she wants to bring Venezuela’s dangerous economic policies into our Nation as well. If Kamala is elected and implements her Communist Price Caps, there will be famine, starvation, and poverty, the likes of which we have never seen. America will NEVER recover!”
