Reactions continue to pour in regarding Jimmy Kimmel’s exit from ABC News, and conservative actor James Woods has delivered one of the most entertaining tweets on the matter.
As reported by The Gateway Pundit, Kimmel, known for his left-leaning views, told his audience on Monday that a MAGA Republican was responsible for the murder of Kirk and accused the right of exploiting the tragedy for political gain.
Kimmel stated, “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”
Following Kimmel’s comments, Nexstar announced that all 32 of its ABC affiliates would indefinitely preempt “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, labeling Kimmel’s remarks about Kirk’s murder as “offensive and insensitive.” Disney subsequently confirmed the indefinite suspension of Kimmel’s show to Fox News Digital.
On Thursday, Woods took to X to share his thoughts on Kimmel’s situation. Initially, he appeared to express sympathy for Kimmel, writing, “We’ve all made jokes at Jimmy Kimmel’s expense. But Mr. Kimmel is a fellow artist, and I am heartbroken to see how he has been treated.” He added, “I believe he is, in his heart of hearts, a good and decent fellow, devoid of malice and hate.”
However, Woods quickly shifted tone, revealing his true feelings about Kimmel’s dismissal with a cheeky twist: “Just kidding, Jimbo. Eat sh*t.”
Woods’s tweet had the internet buzzing with laughter, with many fans initially thinking his account had been hacked.
