Hunter Biden is facing a three-count indictment that includes charges of unlawfully possessing a firearm, falsifying gun sale documentation, and owning a firearm while being dependent on drugs.
This indictment has been issued by special counsel David Weiss, who initially appeared to be hesitant about bringing charges against the President’s son and initially sought to negotiate a plea deal without charges or jail time.
However, this plea deal arrangement was declined by a federal judge in July. The three-count indictment, which carries a potential maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, follows an examination of the Department of Justice’s decision, under President Biden, to promote Weiss to the position of special counsel after the plea deal proposal fell apart.

This inquiry is set to comprehensively examine the family’s international business ventures, which encompass President Biden’s son, Hunter, and his brother, James.
