Despite advocating for mask-wearing, adhering to “social distancing guidelines,” and emphasizing reliance on science, Fauci recently conceded that the “social distancing guidance” lacked a scientific foundation and rather, “sort of just appeared.”
Fauci just admitted to Congress that the “6 foot social distancing” was made up and had no scientific data to back it up.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham derided Fauci’s Congressional appearance, highlighting his reluctance to answer basic questions, responding with “I do not recall” around 100 times. Dr. Rand Paul, a medical doctor and U.S. Senator, during an interview with Ingraham, pointed out that Fauci, despite approving the research, seems unaware of the oversight process for foreign research.
Ingraham criticized Fauci, the highest-paid U.S. official, attributing responsibility for deaths and significant suffering. Sen. Paul alleged a stark contrast between Fauci’s private and public statements, asserting that Fauci’s public remarks on ‘gain of function,’ the virus’s origin, masks, and vaccine effectiveness are largely deceptive.
Dr. Wenstrup, after reviewing Fauci’s testimony transcripts, highlighted systemic failures in the public health system, emphasizing the need for future pandemic responses guided by scientific facts. Conservatives argue that Fauci’s recent admission about social distancing guidelines is just one element in a larger deceptive narrative involving the White House, NIH, CDC, FDA, and WHO.
Sen. Paul insisted that Fauci continues to deny funding gain of function research in Wuhan publicly, describing it as a complete lie. Fox News reported government officials’ claims that Biden and Fauci’s pandemic handling might indicate a desire to protect China, with suggestions that the U.S. government funded illegal gain of function research in both China and Ukraine.
