Former NFL player Antonio Brown has attracted attention with a unique end-of-year post, naming Donald Trump and Elon Musk as his “Free Speech Winners of the Year.”
Brown, who has gained notoriety for his eccentric behavior on social media, made the announcement via X. His “Cracker of the Year” awards have become a viral sensation, featuring accolades like “Podcast Episode of the Year” for Joe Rogan and “Funniest Cracker of the Year” for comedian Shane Gillis. On New Year’s Eve, Brown saved his final honor for Musk and Trump.
“Last day of the yr & last award of the yr. This is a special one bc it’s what this platform stands for,” Brown wrote. “It’s what @elonmusk gave back to us when he bought @X – Free Speech!”

His post also included a gladiator-themed graphic featuring Musk, Trump, and himself dressed as Roman warriors, along with a nod to Trump’s son: “P.S. Hbd @DonaldJTrumpJr.”
Brown has been an outspoken supporter of Trump, appearing alongside the 78-year-old during campaign rallies leading up to Trump’s successful bid for a second term against Kamala Harris. Notably, Brown helped lead voter registration efforts at a tailgate event in Pittsburgh, where he shared the stage with Trump and former Steelers teammate Le’Veon Bell.
After Trump’s victory, Brown continued to mock Democrats on social media. On Thanksgiving, he took a swipe at President Joe Biden, sharing an image of Biden holding a turkey captioned, “Happy Easter,” a reference to Biden’s well-documented gaffes.
Brown’s public antics have kept him in the spotlight since his abrupt departure from professional football in 2022, where he famously left the field mid-game during a matchup against the New York Jets.
