In light of the indictment against former president Donald Trump, Elon Musk has voiced his concerns, implying that the case may be influenced by a biased criminal justice system that overlooks comparable offenses committed by less controversial politicians.
In a Twitter post on Friday, Musk hinted at the possibility of validity in Trump’s assertion that the prosecution against him resembled a partisan “witch hunt,” using the words of the former president. While Musk’s response was measured, he urged the justice system to address these criticisms openly to uphold its credibility and preserve the perception of impartiality.
“There does seem to be far higher interest in pursuing Trump compared to other people in politics,” Musk said in a tweet. “Very important that the justice system rebut what appears to be differential enforcement or they will lose public trust.”
As Elon Musk maintained an impartial and inquisitive demeanor while assessing the legal proceedings against the former president, Donald Trump expressed a less restrained reaction in his own response, shared on Truth Social platform on Thursday.
“The corrupt Biden Administration has informed my attorneys that I have been Indicted, seemingly over the Boxes Hoax, even though Joe Biden has 1850 Boxes at the University of Delaware, additional Boxes in Chinatown, D.C., with even more Boxes at the University of Pennsylvania, and documents strewn all over his garage floor where he parks his Corvette, and which is ‘secured’ by only a garage door that is paper thin, and open much of the time,” Trump said via Truth Social.
