People on the left were upset about this, as they view Rupert Murdoch as a right-wing media mogul. However, it’s important to remember that just because two people are sitting together at a public event doesn’t mean they have anything in common politically.
In response to speculation about their conversation, Elon tweeted that they were talking about dogecoin. He was also wearing a shirt with the dogecoin logo at the event.
