According to an author, Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla, alleges that an elite California school influenced his child, Xavier, who announced last year that he transitioned to a female named Vivian Jenna Wilson and embraced communist ideals, leading to a rift between them.
The 19-year-old child legally changed gender and name last year, according to a report from the Daily Mail. In court documents, the child expressed a desire to sever all ties with the billionaire Tesla CEO.
Walter Isaacson’s biography, “Elon Musk,” set to be released on September 12, includes details about Musk’s strained relationship with his child. The Wall Street Journal published an excerpt from the biography that highlighted how Musk’s conflict with his child deeply affected him, comparing it to the pain he felt after the infant death of his firstborn child, Nevada.
Musk voiced concerns about his child’s political beliefs, describing the child as a “full communist” who believed that anyone rich is evil. He attributed these beliefs to the education provided by the elite Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences in Santa Monica, where tuition can be as high as $50,000 annually. The school, known for its celebrity alumni, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Initially, Musk responded calmly when learning about his child’s gender transition. However, tensions arose when the child began advocating for extreme Marxist ideologies and expressed a desire to sever ties with Musk.
The biography also revealed a text message sent by Musk’s child at the age of 16 to Elon’s brother’s wife, disclosing the gender transition and new name, with a request not to inform Elon.
Musk’s disagreements with his child have influenced his views on “woke” ideology, which he perceives as a threat to human progress. He stated, “Unless the woke mind virus, which is fundamentally anti-science, anti-merit, and anti-human in general, is stopped, civilization will never become multiplanetary.”
Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences, established in 1971, has produced numerous Hollywood stars, including Zooey Deschanel, Jonah Hill, Jack Black, Kate Hudson, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Xavier, now identified as Vivian, is one of five children Musk had with Canadian writer Justine Wilson during their marriage from 2000 to 2008. Elon Musk has four other children, two with Canadian singer Grimes and two with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, according to the Mail report.
