Dr. Phil Criticizes COVID ‘Experts’ Advocating School Closures, Calls for ‘Reduced Government’ in America

Dr. Phil McGraw strongly criticized the “experts” responsible for closing schools due to COVID in a recent Primetime episode, a topic he has previously expressed strong opinions on. The Vigilant Fox summarized some of McGraw’s “remarkable” comments on X, stating, “The floodgates are opening,” referring to the diminishing narrative surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and the lack of endorsement for the actions taken by certain scientists and government officials.

Dr. Phil Delivers Stunning Message to the COVID “Experts” Who Got it Wrong

The floodgates are opening.

“You hear people say, ‘Well, we did the best we could with what we knew,’ McGraw said. “No, they did not. They knew better. And if they didn’t know better, they damn well should have known better. That’s what they’re paid to do.”

McGraw then recalled how “all of a sudden, a few weeks turn into months, and months turn into two years.”

“You expect there will be a plan, a readiness plan, that takes into account all the collateral damage that can come from doing something like that,” he continued.

“When you shut down the schools, the day you shut them down, you better have a plan for reopening them. I didn’t see a plan for them to be reopened,” McGraw asserted. “And we have an entire generation that is suffering from developmental gaps, educational gaps, mental and emotional challenges. And still, there’s not a good plan to close those gaps.”

McGraw, in the clip, then leaned into speculations about what could happen if another pandemic were to occur, eventually saying America needs “less government.”

“When the next pandemic turns the corner, who’s got the plan then? What was learned from this?” McGraw asked. “Because you don’t hear anybody talking about it, do you? You don’t hear anybody talking about it.”

“And I’m not some conspiracy theorist. I’m saying we need to think about whether we’re going to rely on science and how we’re going to react when the government comes in and starts telling us what we can and can’t do,” he added. “I think we need less government. I think if they would step back, we tend to have a way to work these things out.”

In recent months, McGraw has been vocal in his opposition to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic response on schools. He notably expressed his views on the Joe Rogan Podcast, criticizing terms like “gender-affirming care” and condemning the practice as “social contagion.”

JUST IN: Dr. Phil calls out gender affirming care and warns of the long term impacts of pushing transgenderism on children.

America needs more of this Dr. Phil.

In a fiery exchange earlier this year, he vehemently rebuked the liberal co-hosts of ABC’s “The View,” posing questions like, “Who dismantles the support system for these children? Who removes it and shuts it down?”

Certain moments of the exchange saw the show’s co-hosts push back against McGraw’s assertions. Ana Navarro, in particular, later queried McGraw, asking, “Are you suggesting that no school children perished from COVID?”

“I’m saying it was the safest group,” McGraw responded. “They were the less vulnerable group, and they suffered and will suffer more from the mismanagement of COVID than they will from the exposure to COVID, and that’s not an opinion, that’s a fact.”

🚨This is INSANE:

Dr. Phil correctly pointed out how school closures severely hurt children’s mental health, and the ladies of The View are *still* defending the decision to close schools four years later, despite all of the public evidence showing how harmful and unnecessary… pic.twitter.com/6YihTl5eH7
