Former President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he would not seek re-election if he loses the race to Vice President Kamala Harris. Speaking on Sharyl Attkisson’s show “Full Measure,” Trump stated that he would not pursue another campaign if defeated in the upcoming November presidential election.
“I think that will be it. I don’t see that at all,” Trump said when asked about the possibility of a fourth campaign.
This marks Trump’s third campaign, having won against Hillary Clinton in 2016 and lost to Joe Biden in 2020. His age is likely a factor in his decision, as he is currently 78 years old and would be 82 in 2028.
