This is for anyone who cares about free speech in America. Devin Nunes, CEO of Trump Media & Technology Group, has revealed that Truth Social’s ad platform is being unfairly targeted and denied ad money because of political and ideological bias. Nunes is calling on members of Congress to take action on this issue, and we should all support him.
Nunes explained that Truth Social has built its Ad Center using Rumble, an independent platform that is not controlled by Big Tech. However, even with this setup, Truth Social is still not getting enough ad revenue because of the blacklist on center to center-right websites. This blacklist is keeping the top 1,000 US companies from investing in these sites and platforms. Nunes believes that this is all part of the Left’s plan to suppress information that is unfavorable to them and promote their own narratives.
John Solomon, formerly of Fox News and the Washington Times, was a guest on Nunes’ podcast and shed light on the media blacklist industry. Solomon believes that it is ultimately the government – the Democrats and the Left – that are behind this. He pointed out that there were elements of the bureaucracy working with liberal entities towards the end of Trump’s presidency, and the situation has only worsened. He also mentioned the Global Disinformation Index (GDI), which rates news organizations based on whether they follow the government’s narrative or not. If a site has a low score, they get bumped off advertising.
We cannot allow this injustice to continue. Nunes is right – Congress needs to look into this matter before platforms like Truth Social and others on the center to center-right get “just a small, small fraction” of the $300 billion ad industry. Let’s stand up for free speech and demand action from our elected officials.
