FBI Director Kash Patel appeared before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, addressing the FBI’s management of the Epstein files and the investigation into the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Patel delivered a compelling opening statement, highlighting the agency’s recent achievements.
“Under this administration, the FBI has arrested more than 23,000 violent criminals in just seven months, which is double the number compared to the same period last year. We’ve removed over 6,000 firearms from the streets, ensuring that these weapons are no longer in the hands of criminals. Additionally, we have identified and located 4,700 child victims,” Patel stated.
“This represents a 35% increase compared to last year. We have apprehended 1,500 child predators, marking a 10% increase year to date from last year. Our efforts have also supported numerous counterterrorism operations globally,” he added.

In a separate incident, Charlie Kirk was shot by far-left assassin Tyler Robinson last Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University.
During the hearing, Nadler ridiculed Charlie Kirk, referring to him as “Charlie King” multiple times.
