Trump was right. You can’t make peace deals with Ukraine as long as Zelensky is calling the shots. He can’t be trusted.
Zelensky came to America in early March to sign a minerals agreement and agree to a ceasefire as a first step toward peace with Russia. However, the entire signing ceremony fell apart when Zelensky began acting erratically and reneged on his prior promises.
Democrat Senator Chris Murphy anticipated this outcome even before the meeting with Trump took place.
Democrat Sen. Chris Murphy, who met with Zelensky before the White House visit, confirmed that the Ukrainian leader had already decided to torpedo Trump’s mineral deal before meeting with Trump.
This was not the first time Zelensky made promises to the U.S. only to back out later. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent revealed in an exclusive interview with Laura Ingraham on The Ingraham Angle that this marked the third time Zelensky had refused to sign a mineral agreement, leaving U.S. officials stunned.
Bessent, who has played a key role in facilitating economic partnerships between the U.S. and Ukraine under President Trump’s administration, detailed how Zelensky’s erratic behavior has jeopardized critical negotiations. The agreement, which would have secured billions in U.S. aid in exchange for access to Ukraine’s rare earth minerals, was expected to strengthen the economic and strategic alliance between the two nations.
“This has to be one of the greatest diplomatic mishaps of all time by President Zelensky,” Bessent said during his interview.
Zelensky does not want peace. On Saturday, the Ukrainian leader boasted that Ukraine now possesses long-range missiles capable of reaching Moscow.
Again, Zelensky does not want peace.
The Daily Mail reported:
Volodymyr Zelensky has revealed Ukraine has successfully combat-tested its new domestically-produced Long Neptune missile with a range of 621 miles. This puts the Russian capital, Moscow, within its range, with Zelensky stating that Kyiv has achieved “significant results” in its missile program aimed at providing its own security against the threat of Vladimir Putin.
“Long Neptune has been tested and successfully used in combat,” he said. “A new Ukrainian missile, an accurate strike. The range is a thousand kilometers [621 miles]. Thank you to our Ukrainian developers, manufacturers, and military. We continue to work to guarantee Ukrainian security.”
A Ukrainian Telegram channel, Exilenova+, suggested that Friday’s dramatic strike at the Tuapse Oil refinery may have been carried out by the new Neptune missile, an advanced version of the weapon that sank Putin’s Black Sea Fleet flagship, Moskva, in 2022.
Why is Zelensky pushing the world toward World War III? And who thinks that is a good idea?
