On Tuesday, an American political activist and ESG critic from Cincinnati, Ohio, Vivek Ramaswamy, announced his bid to run for the White House in the upcoming 2024 presidential race.
Along with being the author of two books “Woke, Inc.: Inside Corporate America’s Social Justice Scam” and “Nation of Victims: Identity Politics, the Death of Merit, and the Path Back to Excellence,” Ramaswamy is also a co-founder of Strive Asset Management.
It was also reported, on Tuesday, Ramaswamy is resigning from his position as executive chairman.
Ramaswamy wrote in an opinion piece:
“America is in the midst of a national identity crisis. We hunger for purpose at a moment when faith, patriotism and hard work are on the decline. We embrace secular religions like climatism, Covidism and gender ideology to satisfy our need for meaning, yet we can’t answer what it means to be an American.”
The 37-year-old Ramaswamy is stressing the significance of merit and criticizes illegal border crossings and the equal rights policy.
Ramaswamy wrote:
“My parents entered this country legally, worked hard, and raised two kids who went on to create businesses that improved the lives of thousands of Americans. We need more immigrants like them instead of those who break the law when they enter our country. That means securing the border unapologetically and eliminating lottery-based immigration in favor of meritocratic admission.”
He claimed that affirmative action is a “national cancer,” informing Fox News’s Tucker Carlson that out of all, one of his “top priorities will be to end affirmative action in every sphere of American life.”
Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and former United States President Donald Trump have so far announced their candidacy for the presidential race in 2024.
Whereas President Joe Biden has just hinted about his “intentions” to go for the presidential run again, though, he hasn’t yet officially announced something in regards to his candidacy.
