Polling data indicates that Republican Donald Trump now has a strong likelihood of winning next month’s presidential election. However, conservatives are being warned not to grow complacent, even as the numbers increasingly favor the former president.
CNN’s “Poll of Polls” reveals that Trump currently has a 68.4% chance of winning the election, while his opponent, Democrat Kamala Harris, has seen her odds drop to 31.6%.
And remember, this is coming from CNN.
Harris had maintained a lead over Trump after taking over the candidacy from President Joe Biden in July. Initially, her fresh candidacy and a brief “honeymoon period” boosted her in the polls, but her limited media appearances and rising frustration with the current administration have caused her campaign to lose ground in recent weeks.
Trump, fully aware that he does not need the popular vote to secure the presidency, is performing better than in his previous campaigns, both of which ended in closer races than anticipated. Realistically, the former president is likely on his way back to the White House come January 20, 2024.
Still, conservatives are pushing hard to get every vote, as any complacency from favorable polls could lead to voter apathy, potentially allowing Harris to edge out a win.
