Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican Congresswoman from Florida, known for her conservative views and support of Governor Ron DeSantis, has announced that she is expecting her first child later this year, as reported by Time magazine.
On Monday, it was announced that Luna is expecting a son and is due to deliver in late August.
As the first Mexican-American congressperson from Florida, Luna has been targeted by the DNC as a candidate to defeat in the 2024 elections, despite being a woman of color.
Luna won her seat by a margin of eight points in the 2022 election.
Despite being targeted and criticized by the left, Luna appeared unfazed. In late April, she tweeted a number for those wishing to voice a complaint, which played Rick Astley’s 1987 hit, “Never Gonna Give You Up,” when called, angering Democrats.

The Daily Caller reported that Luna and her husband are thrilled about the upcoming arrival of their child. They expressed their excitement by saying, “We are overjoyed to welcome our son later this summer. Children are a blessing, and we feel incredibly blessed to receive this gift.”
Scoop: @realannapaulina is pregnant with her first child, expecting at the end of the summer. This would make make her only the 12th member of Congress out of more than 12,500 since Congress convened to ever give birth while in office. https://t.co/LkPC4l2ks9

Anna Paulina Luna has been a strong supporter of children’s rights for a long time. During a committee hearing in March, the Congresswoman became emotional and broke down in tears when photographs of 115 full-term aborted babies were shown. She called the discovery of the babies in a home “one of the most heinous crimes that have occurred in DC…”
One of the most egregious crimes occurred in D.C. without any oversight.

Look at these pictures. Some of these babies were born alive.@councilofdc agreed Dr. Santangelo’s medical license must be revoked. pic.twitter.com/rdwdTkFNIE
Luna spoke out against the border policies of the Biden administration on Monday, expressing concern about the safety of immigrants, particularly unaccompanied minors.
I was glad to join @RepCiscomani’s letter with over 70 of my GOP colleagues to call out @JoeBiden, @DHSgov, and @SecMayorkas for their targeted incompetence.

Let's call this what it is: exploiting 85,000 children for the purposes of cementing their radical open-border policies. pic.twitter.com/GPk3wUSQf3
