President Trump issued a warning to criminals in Chicago on Saturday, vowing to send in the newly renamed Department of War in a post on Truth Social.
“Chicago about to find out why it’s called the Department of WAR,” the president wrote.
The post included an AI-generated image of Trump seated with fire, helicopters, and the Chicago skyline in the background.
Trump has previously threatened to deploy National Guard troops to Chicago to combat crime, similar to what he did in Washington, DC. He has also pointed to other cities, including New York and New Orleans, as possible targets for intervention.
