The Trump administration continued releasing documents over the weekend. Following Tulsi Gabbard’s explosive release of files related to what she called a “treasonous conspiracy” behind the Trump-Russia investigation, former President Trump renewed calls for legal action against his political rivals.
Trump most recently shared a document online that allegedly implicates Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) in mortgage fraud. In a Truth Social post, Trump demanded prosecution for Schiff, writing:
“I’d love to see [Adam Schiff] brought to justice.”
“Adam Schiff is a THIEF! He should be prosecuted, just like they tried to prosecute me, and everyone else — The only difference is, WE WERE TOTALLY INNOCENT, IT WAS ALL A GIANT HOAX!” Trump wrote on Sunday afternoon.
According to the document posted by Trump, Schiff had claimed a Maryland property as his primary residence. While it was not against the rules for Schiff to do so while serving in Congress, Fox News noted that some filings dating back to 2003 indicate he may have listed both Maryland and California properties as primary residences — a potential red flag, as reported by Just the News.
When asked about these claims on Tuesday by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy, Trump reiterated his stance: “When you said that you want Adam Schiff brought to justice, what does that mean?” Doocy asked. Trump replied, “I’d love to see him brought to justice.”
Schiff has not directly responded to a request for comment from Blaze News. Earlier this week, he dismissed Trump’s accusations as a “baseless attempt at political retribution.”
A spokesperson for Schiff told Fox News Digital: “The lenders who provided the mortgages for both homes were well aware of then-Representative Schiff’s Congressional service and of his intended year-round use of both homes, neither of which were vacation homes. He has always been completely transparent about this.”
