Tulsi Gabbard is going viral with a powerful Thanksgiving message that has people talking. Recently nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to be America’s next Director of National Intelligence, Gabbard’s growing influence on the right is clear. The former Democratic Congresswoman and current Lt. Col. in the Army Reserves is solidifying her position as a prominent figure in the new conservative coalition.
She’s also no stranger to the tactical side of things—after all, she’s not bad with a gun! This Thanksgiving, she shared a striking photo that quickly gained attention.
In the image, Gabbard stands with her husband, Abraham Williams, holding the American flag on a hilltop in her home state of Hawaii. Not only was the American flag prominently displayed, but Tulsi was also wearing a plate carrier. The photo is both powerful and fitting for someone of her caliber.
“My heart is filled with gratitude—for God’s unconditional love, for the love and support of my family, for freedom and our great country. Happy Thanksgiving,” Gabbard wrote in the caption.
Her followers quickly filled the comments with praise:

While many were enjoying football and relaxing on Thanksgiving, Tulsi Gabbard was out on a hike, wearing tactical gear and carrying the American flag. It’s safe to say she had a more action-packed holiday than most, but hey, to each their own.
Tulsi continues to prove she’s a proud and inspiring American. We need more of that energy and spirit, and it’s great to see her leading by example.
