Bill Clinton Praises Kari Lake’s ‘Physical Attractiveness’ During Rally for Gallego

While speaking at a rally in Arizona, Bill Clinton compared the Senate candidates, Ruben Gallego and Kari Lake, noting their contrasting backgrounds. He said, “You got a person that grew up under sometimes challenging circumstances, who made something of his life running against someone who is physically attractive, but believes that politics is a performance art, and where, like J.D. Vance, she has to be prost[r]ate before the master.”

Lake has not addressed Clinton’s remarks directly, but she did share a post criticizing his statement. Christy Kelly wrote on X that Clinton’s comments were “sexist and dehumanizing,” reducing Lake to “a cheap stereotype.”

Clinton also commented on Vice President Harris, stating that she is “extremely vulnerable” due to relentless attacks but emphasized that her vulnerability was undeserved. He argued, “She is more vulnerable than she deserves to be, through crazy attacks. So they’ve been thinking, the Republicans, all this time, ‘how can we go on the attack.’”

Earlier this month, Clinton attempted to link the tragic death of Georgia college student Laken Riley to Donald Trump’s immigration policies, suggesting her death “probably wouldn’t have happened” had illegal immigrants been properly vetted. Riley’s suspected killer, Jose Antonio Ibarra, had crossed the border in 2022 before being released into the U.S.

Clinton also took a jab at Trump for avoiding a second debate with Harris despite “all their macho talk.” While a second debate is unlikely, Harris recently faced criticism for her CNN town hall performance, with former Obama adviser David Axelrod describing her responses as “word salad city.”

With the election approaching, recent polls show key battleground states, including Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina, as potentially swinging in Trump’s favor.
