In July 2022, I took the time to read through the CIA’s UFO document release, curious to see what might be there. Since the CIA wasn’t the main government agency handling UFO-related matters, I knew the most significant revelations wouldn’t be included, but I thought it was still worth the effort.

The result was my article, CIA UFO Docs: Identifying Those Flying Objects, published on my Substack. My conclusion from the materials I reviewed was clear: UFOs, at least according to the documents I accessed, were secret, earthly technology—sometimes craft we eventually became familiar with, like the U2 and Stealth planes.

That take didn’t go over well with believers in extraterrestrials, nor with those who think UFOs are just atmospheric phenomena or illusions.

Now, however, a much more high-profile figure is backing the same theory. Tech billionaire Elon Musk recently endorsed the idea that UFOs are part of a “new weapons program,” kept under wraps within “the US government’s vast black budget.” I’d only add that some of these craft likely belong to other nations as well.

Musk shared his thoughts with Tucker Carlson, saying he believes “we are the aliens” and that he has “never seen extraterrestrial life” in his time running SpaceX.

The Daily Mail reported:

“‘Unidentified flying objects’ are one thing,” Musk said in the interview, “but there’s always a bunch of classified programs that are underway: new aircraft, new missiles and things.”

Musk’s comments align with the Pentagon’s stance that UFO sightings from the 1950s and 60s were actually tests of advanced U.S. spy planes and space technology.

Musk also vowed to be the “first person” to expose extraterrestrial life, if it exists. He stated that he would immediately post any evidence he finds on X.

“‘I would guarantee that the split-second I see any evidence of aliens, I will immediately post that on the X platform,’ Musk told Carlson on his new show. ‘It will probably be our number one post of all time,’” the billionaire added.

Musk firmly believes the UFOs seen today are classified military craft. “‘Where are the aliens? Why don’t I see them?’” he asked Carlson. “‘A lot of people think we see aliens, but I have not seen any evidence.’”

With over 6,000 Starlink satellites in orbit, Musk noted that SpaceX has “not once had to maneuver around an alien spacecraft.” Instead, he suggests that UFOs are classified military vehicles, possibly next-generation craft like the “Silent Ventus” drone.
