Kamala Harris finally made a visit to the border on Friday—her second trip near the border during her time in office. Her first visit in 2021 was a brief photo op at an El Paso Border Patrol station, meant to give the appearance of action, but she hadn’t returned since. Now, with the election approaching and heavy criticism over her handling of border issues, she decided to stage another photo op at the actual border and wall.
As previously reported, she walked past the wall she had once criticized, pretending to care, and gave a vague response to a question. Former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan slammed her visit, while one Arizonan summed it up simply: “It’s all lies.”
Then she gave a speech, and as with Biden, whenever Harris speaks, it’s often a recipe for disaster. She talked about how she was concerned about the “scourge” [mispronounced] of fentanyl and said people crossing between ports of entry would be removed.
However, she hasn’t taken any of these actions, despite being in office and having the border as one of her main responsibilities. She claimed our “highest charge” must be to protect the lives of “our people.”
But that hasn’t been the case. From day one in office, Biden and Harris dismantled the security measures that former President Donald Trump had put in place. They showed no concern for the people who would be harmed or killed as a result. For years, they lied, insisting the border was secure. Harris didn’t even bother to reach out to the families of those who were killed, like the families of Jocelyn Nungary and Rachel Morin. So much for their “highest priority.”
Harris falsely claimed that Trump did nothing to fix the “broken immigration system.”
If that’s true, why did Biden and Harris work so hard to undo Trump’s policies? Securing the border was one of Trump’s top priorities, and he had to fight Democrats every step of the way, as they showed little concern for border security. Trump built nearly 500 miles of the wall and implemented the Remain in Mexico policy, which greatly helped address the problem.
According to Tom Homan, under Trump, the border was the most secure it had been in 45 years.
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris was out there protesting against the wall and chanting, “Down, Down with Deportation!”
Harris repeated her usual line about it being time to “turn the page,” seemingly unaware that it was a damning critique of her and Joe Biden’s so-called “work.”
They’ve been the ones relentlessly attacking political opponents while failing to do their jobs—like securing the border.
The real telling moment came when Harris pushed for a “pathway to citizenship” for the illegal immigrants already here.
That’s where her true intentions lie. Everything else is just election-year posturing. This stance will not sit well with many, and it will likely encourage more illegal immigration. Listen to her saying they “deserve to have a system that works.”
What about us? What about a system that works for the American people? We had that under Trump. We deserve a president who enforces our laws.
We’re not going to get that from Kamala Harris.
Why even bother with this photo op if you’re just going to repeat the same nonsense you’ve been spewing for the past three and a half years?
