Harris Campaign Ramps Up Hispanic Outreach with Massive $3 Million Radio Ad Blitz

“Hispanic Heritage Month is a pivotal opportunity to honor the rich diversity and contributions of Latino communities across the nation,” said Harris-Walz campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez in a press release. “It’s also a crucial moment for us to engage Latino voters about the significance of this election, the power of their vote in shaping the outcome, and in defeating Trump and his harmful anti-Latino policies.”

Chavez Rodriguez further emphasized that the month “will be a core component of our strategic efforts to present Vice President Harris’s vision to the electorate.”

This outreach could be essential for securing votes in key swing states like Nevada and Arizona, both with significant Hispanic populations. It may also enhance competitiveness in Florida.

As part of this initiative, the campaign is launching a bilingual phone banking program to inform Hispanic voters about the election and various political issues. The team is planning events with Rep. Chuy Garcia (D-IL) in Michigan, and a call-a-thon targeting 500,000 Hispanic voters next month.

Additionally, Harris and her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz, will participate in events in swing states, including celebrations for Mexican Independence Day. The vice president is also slated to speak at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s conference on September 18.
