Large counties often face so-called “glitches” on Election Day. Why do major counties like Harris County, Texas, and Maricopa County, Arizona, keep experiencing these electoral irregularities? Are these large counties simply overwhelmed by the pressure of Election Day? As the nation approaches this pivotal day, eliminating these “glitches” becomes increasingly vital.
Even a small error, like miscounting just 1 percent of the vote, could drastically alter the outcome. For instance, Joe Biden won Arizona by a margin of only 0.6 percent, with half of those votes coming from Maricopa County, where his lead was a slim 0.3 percent. Yet we’re constantly reassured that any irregularities are minor and that the majority of ballots are counted correctly. But in tight races, being 99 percent accurate instead of 100 percent could mean the difference between certifying the true winner and endorsing a falsified result.
Take Harris County in 2022, where over 1,000 ineligible ballots were cast and counted. After a legal battle, a judge ordered a redo election. Voters also faced long lines, ballot paper shortages, and scanner malfunctions. In Maricopa County, the story isn’t much different: repeated machine failures, lengthy lines, and mounting doubts over the county’s electoral system. With more than 4 million residents, Maricopa County largely determines Arizona’s final vote count.
In Maricopa, there were ballot printing errors, misplaced ballots, and equipment malfunctions that delayed vote counting. You would think after years of such glitches, these counties would have resolved their issues to ensure a smooth process. But no, the margin for error remains razor-thin.
These electoral mishaps undermine public trust in the entire voting system. When large counties repeatedly get it wrong, it raises concerns about the integrity of elections nationwide.
Mainstream media keeps downplaying these election irregularities. Figures like Don Lemon, Jake Tapper, and others from what some call the Democrat Media Complex insist that these glitches are minor and don’t influence the overall outcome. It’s as if they’ve borrowed a line from a magician’s playbook: “Nothing to see here, folks, move along.” But voters deserve transparency and accountability, not distractions. Sorry, CNN.
The solution is clear: implement reliable processes, keep voter rolls accurate, and ensure full transparency. Voters need confidence that their ballots are counted properly and that the election results aren’t simply the product of a malfunctioning system. Election officials must prioritize integrity and stop treating elections like a test run. The American people deserve better, and it’s time to deliver a seamless voting experience.
Let’s hope that on the next Election Day, the only glitches we see are in video games—not in our voting systems. Because in America, every eligible ballot should be counted, and every election should rightly confirm the true winner.
