Kamala Harris’ campaign has finally gotten her to participate in a few radio interviews. My colleague Sister Toldjah previously reported on one of those interviews having odd technical difficulties, causing it to be delayed.
But why not have her do live interviews that aren’t pre-recorded, edited, or filled with softball questions from friendly interviewers? Former President Donald Trump has done that, allowing people to see how he handles things in real time. When an interview is taped, there are too many chances to edit out parts that someone might not like. A president doesn’t get the luxury of editing out the bad parts that impact all of us.
The Univision interview wasn’t the only one with issues. Harris also did an interview with Univision Arizona’s radio host “Angel Baby,” real name Edna Chapa. It was brief, less than 10 minutes, so not exactly an in-depth conversation.
During the interview, Harris repeated the same line about “charting a new way forward.” Once again, her campaign shows a lack of awareness. Who came up with that slogan? It sounds eerily similar to the CCP’s Great Leap Forward, a disastrous policy under which millions died. How can she claim to represent a “new way forward” when she’s been part of the last three-plus years of failure?
Harris was asked how she would help the middle class, and she claimed she came from the middle class and would put more money in their pockets.
In reality, she’s helped drive up costs for the middle class and everyone else over the past three-plus years, and her plan to discontinue Trump’s tax cuts would actually raise taxes on most Americans. Under Trump, people did better because he didn’t just talk—he cut taxes and supported businesses so they could grow.
Angel Baby pointed out that many still believe Trump can handle the economy better. “What would you say to them?” she asked Harris.
“Well, you should look at what I’ve accomplished thus far,” Harris replied.
What accomplishments? Besides skyrocketing costs, making home ownership unaffordable, and record inflation? She claimed Trump’s policies would cause inflation and raise costs by over 20 percent. Um, isn’t that what her policies have done?
Even in a friendly interview, it was almost comical to hear Harris flipping through what sounded like notes while answering questions, saying she wanted to “turn the page on the Trump era.”
She can’t even handle a short interview without notes? Was she reading off a script? How is she supposed to take on the presidency? The upcoming debate is sure to be entertaining.
Let’s not forget that Democrats have been in charge for 12 of the last 16 years, with Harris and Biden at the helm for the last three. She can’t pretend Trump’s been in charge during this period.
People laughed at her performance.
It’s time to turn the page on Kamala Harris and Joe Biden this November.
