Former President Donald Trump took to social media on Saturday to mock President Joe Biden, urging him to “continue his campaign of American Destruction.”
In a satirical post on his Truth Social account, following Biden’s prime-time ABC News interview, Trump encouraged “Crooked Joe Biden” to disregard his critics and press on with his campaign “with speed and vigor.” He suggested Biden be as “sharp, precise, and energetic” as he was during “The Debate.”
Trump implied that Biden should keep advancing his policies, which he described as making China great again. These policies include promoting open borders, which Trump claimed allow millions of people, including terrorists, to enter the country unchecked, and ending Social Security.
Trump also criticized Biden’s stance on men participating in women’s sports, high taxes, high interest rates, a woke military, rampant inflation, record-setting crime, the push for electric vehicles, subservience to China and other countries, endless wars, putting America last, and the erosion of the dollar-based standard.
Trump’s comments come amid growing calls from some Democrats for Biden to withdraw from the presidential race in favor of another candidate to challenge Trump. On Friday, Senator Mark Warner, D-Va., expressed his intention to gather fellow Democratic senators to discuss their concerns about Biden’s ability to defeat Trump in the upcoming election.
Warner’s spokesperson, Rachel Cohen, stated that Warner, like many others in Washington and nationwide, believes these are critical days for the president’s campaign and has communicated this to the White House.
Despite facing criticism and concerns about his age and capability, Biden remains firm in his decision to stay in the race. After his interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC, Biden unequivocally ruled out the possibility of withdrawing from the race.
